To enable Order Protection to create gift cards upon claim approval, we need access to the Gift Card API for our private app. This API can only be activated by a Shopify agent, not through your store dashboard.

Contact Shopify Support

Go to the Shopify Support Page and start a chat or support request. Inform them that you need to activate the Gift Card API for your store’s private app, Order Protection.

Communicate with the Agent

Explain to the support agent that you require the Gift Card API to be enabled for the Order Protection app. Provide any details they may need about your app. Be aware that it may take a few days for the activation to be processed.

Confirmation and Follow-up

Wait for the Shopify support team to confirm that the Gift Card API has been activated. Once you receive confirmation, we’ll be able to verify that gift cards are enabled and can be used as store credit in Order Protection.
