Excluding from Discounts
Ensure that the price of Order Protection is not affected by discount codes.
Creating a collection that excludes Order Protection
Go to Collections
In your Shopify admin, go to Products > Collections.
Create a collection
Click Create collection.
Enter title
Use a title like All Products Available for Discount.
Select Collection Type
In the Collection Type Selection, select Automated.
Set Conditions
In the Conditions section, set the conditions to Product type is not equal to > Protection.
Save
Click save
Any discount codes that appply to this collection will not affect the price of Order Protection.
Creating a Discount that excludes Order Protection
Go to Discounts
In your Shopify admin, go to Discounts.
Create a discount
Click Create discount.
Select method
Select Discount code for the method.
Enter Code
In the Discount code Selection, enter the code you wish to use (e.g FLASHSALE) or click Generate to have Shopify create one for you.
Set parameters
Adjust the other values as desired.
In the Applies to section select Specific collections and select the collection you created above.
Save
Click Add and verify all other settings, then click Save discount.
Updating an existing collection to exclude Order Protection
Go to Collections
In your Shopify admin, go to Products > Collections.
Edit collection
Click on the collection you want to edit.
Update conditions
In the Conditions section, set the conditions to Product type is not equal to > Protection.
Save
Ensure all conditions to ensure they work the way you expect.
Click Save.
